We are hiring a Technical Sourcer to build and drive the top-of-funnel pipeline for our software engineering and product hiring lanes. You will work directly with our Technical Recruiter as a dedicated sourcing partner, owning candidate identification, outreach, and initial qualification so the recruiting team can stay focused on process and close.

This is a high-output, high-craft role. You are not managing reqs or running full-cycle. You are the person who finds candidates nobody else finds, writes outreach nobody else would write, and builds pipelines that hold up under pressure.

This is a fully remote position with occasional travel to our headquarters in Oxnard,CA

What You Will Own

Pipeline Development

-  Build and maintain active candidate pipelines for software engineering roles across autonomy, full-stack, embedded, and forward-deployed disciplines

-  Source product management and product design candidates with backgrounds in C2, mission software, robotics, or defense-adjacent hardware-software products

-  Develop Boolean search strings, LinkedIn Recruiter projects, GitHub profiles, conference speaker lists, and other non-obvious sourcing surfaces to reach passive candidates

-  Identify talent clusters within defense primes, national labs, aerospace companies, robotics startups, and hyperscalers with relevant systems depth

Outreach and Engagement

-  Write and send personalized outreach that reflects Swarm Aero's mission and the specificity of the role, not templated copy-paste

-  Own A/B testing of messaging, subject lines, and outreach sequences to continuously improve response rates

-  Conduct initial screens to assess interest, eligibility, and basic technical fit before passing candidates to the Technical Recruiter

-  Maintain accurate and timely candidate records in Ashby, including outreach history, response rates, and disposition notes

Sourcing Intelligence

-  Track and report on pipeline metrics weekly: contacts made, response rates, screens completed, and candidates advanced

-  Surface market intelligence on talent availability, compensation expectations, and competitive movement in the defense tech and autonomy software space

-  Contribute to target company lists, sourcing playbooks, and Boolean string libraries for use across the TA team

What We Are Looking For

**Required**

-  3+ years of technical sourcing experience, with demonstrated success building passive candidate pipelines for software engineering roles

-  Deep fluency with LinkedIn Recruiter and at least one additional sourcing surface (GitHub, X/Twitter, conference databases, niche communities)

-  Strong Boolean search skills and the ability to construct targeted searches for roles with narrow technical profiles

-  Excellent written communication; your outreach messages are specific, brief, and worth responding to

-  High attention to detail in ATS hygiene and pipeline tracking

-  Self-directed and comfortable operating with minimal oversight in a fast-moving environment

**Strongly Preferred**

-  Experience sourcing for defense tech, aerospace, robotics, or dual-use software companies

-  Familiarity with sourcing engineers who hold or could obtain security clearances

-  Experience sourcing product managers or designers in technically complex environments

-  Prior use of Ashby ATS

-  Demonstrated ability to build sourcing playbooks or target company lists from scratch

You will report to the Head of Talent Acquisition and work day-to-day alongside the Technical Recruiter. The expectation is tight coordination: shared pipeline visibility, regular sourcing syncs, and a feedback loop that makes both of you sharper over time. This is a true partnership, not a handoff queue.

Technical Sourcer

We are looking for a Technical Recruiter who will own the full-cycle recruiting motion for our most complex and highest-leverage hiring lanes: software engineering and product. You will partner directly with engineering leads and product stakeholders to fill roles that sit at the intersection of defense, autonomy, and software systems. This is not a coordination role. You are expected to source, assess, and close.

This is a remote position. You will travel to our Oxnard, CA headquarters periodically for team meetings, candidate visit days, and cross-functional syncs.

What You Will Own

Software Engineering Hiring

-  Full-cycle recruiting for roles across autonomy software, full-stack, and forward-deployed engineering

-  Sourcing into the defense-adjacent software talent pool: engineers from national labs, aerospace primes, defense tech startups, and hyperscalers with relevant systems backgrounds

-  Building and maintaining a live pipeline of qualified SWE candidates across seniority levels

-  Running structured interview processes in close coordination with engineering leads

Product Hiring

-  Own recruiting for product management and product design roles with a focus on C2, autonomy HMI, and mission software

-  Translate ambiguous product role definitions into crisp job scopes and candidate profiles

-  Identify and recruit product talent from adjacent verticals including defense primes, robotics, and dual-use tech

Recruiting Operations

-  Partner with the Head of Talent Acquisition to maintain pipeline health, reporting cadences, and Ashby ATS hygiene

-  Build and manage relationships with specialized agency partners where appropriate

-  Contribute to employer brand, candidate experience, and offer process in a way that reflects the urgency and seriousness of our mission

What We Are Looking For

**Required**

-  5+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, with demonstrated ownership of SWE hiring from sourcing through close

-  Proven ability to recruit engineers with systems-level depth: embedded, autonomy, robotics, aerospace software, or similar

-  Strong sourcing instincts: you know how to find and engage candidates who are not actively looking

-  Experience running structured hiring processes and calibrating hiring managers to consistent standards

-  Excellent written and verbal communication; you can represent a technical role clearly and a mission compellingly

-  Comfortable operating in a high-ambiguity, fast-moving environment with minimal process overhead

-  Ability to obtain US Government clearance

**Strongly Preferred**

-  Experience recruiting for defense tech, aerospace, robotics, or dual-use hardware-software companies

We're not looking for someone who follows a layup schedule. We're looking for someone who ~~wrote ~~ one, questioned it, and made it better. As a Composites Technician, you'll sit at the intersection of materials science and hands-on fabrication, working shoulder-to-shoulder with our engineering team to push the boundaries of what's possible in aircraft manufacturing.

**What You'll Do**

- Develop and optimize composite manufacturing processes with a sharp eye on material behavior, cure kinetics, and process-structure-property relationships

- Fabricate and test advanced aircraft components and tooling using both conventional and novel manufacturing methods

- Conduct hands-on material characterization including mechanical testing, material property evaluation, and process validation

- Author shop procedures and technical documentation that reflect genuine expertise, not just steps copied from a datasheet

- Partner with engineers to investigate failures, qualify new materials, and develop first-of-kind processes where the answer isn't always known yet

- Foster a manufacturing culture built around curiosity, rigor, and continuous improvement

**What You Bring**

- 5+ years of deep, hands-on composites experience, with colleagues who come to you when something doesn't behave the way it should

- You think in terms of resin systems, cure cycles, fiber architecture, and void content, not just layup sequences

- As comfortable discussing the chemistry behind a prepreg system as you are running an autoclave or troubleshooting a bonded joint

- Proven ability to take ownership of undefined problems and turn them into documented, repeatable solutions

- Thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving environments where structure is built, not given

- Experience with material characterization, mechanical testing, or process development in an R&D or advanced manufacturing setting is a strong plus
