As a result of growth, we are seeking a highly motivated **Senior SEO Strategist **to join our team. The right candidate must be able work proficiently in a **remote environment ** but love getting together in person with clients, the team, and at our company sponsored events.

As **Senior SEO Strategist ** you will independently manage and execute comprehensive SEO Strategies across a diverse set of clients. This role requires strong SEO knowledge including holistic strategy and as well as advanced client management skills and campaign development. In addition to your SEO client management responsibilities, you may also participate in the onboarding and training of more junior members of the team allowing you to start honing your management skills. Success in this role requires strong client and project management skills and a creative mindset with the ability to adapt to changing client priorities. Staying abreast of SEO best practices and the evolving landscape remains a key aspect of the role.

**Regular Responsibilities but not limited to: **

- Autonomously spearhead client conversations to discern business objectives and ad hoc requests, translating them into holistic SEO roadmaps aligned with industry best practices. This includes the ability to quickly adjust to shifting client priorities and gaining their buy-in.

- Advanced experience in all SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog) and ability to leverage the advanced capabilities of each platform, such as API configurations and custom extractions.

- Manage and execute the implementation of SEO strategy for all department deliverables (on-page, off-page, and technical SEO) and use your advanced knowledge of our SOPs to teach and train other team members.

- Ability to apply a deep understanding of SEO performance in GA4, GSC, and Looker, such as organic traffic, rankings, conversions, and user engagement to generate comprehensive and insightful monthly reports and renewal decks for your clients.

- Develop campaign strategies with the ability to deconstruct SEO ideas into actionable next steps and gain buy-in from clients.

- Build strong client relationships through consistent communication, skillfully presenting SEO recommendations, clearly delineating project timelines, and proactively managing client expectations.

- Create strong partnerships with internal and external teams to implement client-approved strategies, provide insights on campaign performance, and resolve client issues with limited manager support or escalating if necessary.

- Continually strengthen our SEO practices by diving deeper into new SEO trends and evaluating them for client needs and effectiveness, bringing a strong POV on the learned knowledge to the team.

**Required Skills and Qualifications: **

- Advanced understanding of complex SEO principles (including technical SEO and language related to web development) and of new developments in SEO, such EEAT, AI, Helpful Content Updates, and SGE.

- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Screaming Frog, Search Console Indexing reports, GA, Looker Studio, Ahrefs, and SemRush and an understanding of complex ways to leverage these tools.

- Strong understanding of how to unpack meaningful insights from data to support SEO recommendations and organic growth opportunities, including cross-channel and single-channel opportunities.

- Advanced project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines.

- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, including non-SEO and/or senior leadership client members.

- Advanced client management skills, including effectively communicating SEO recommendations and their impact and independently managing timelines and projects.

- Strong ability to follow deliverable processes and create result-driving custom deliverables that map back to client OKRs and true-north KPIs.

- Advanced skills in both technical and on-page SEO, including understanding of JavaScript, crawling and indexing, rendering, E-E-A-T, and core on-page SEO fundamentals.

- Experience managing e-commerce and lead generation clients.

- Experience managing multi-year SEO campaigns and experience with the following client campaign cycle touchpoints: onboarding, retention, QBRs, OKRs, escalations.

- Can uncover clients’ strategic goals and use that to inform SEO work.

- Experience with Google Analytics 4, and Looker Studio.

- Strong ability to develop strategies for clients that are outside the box and go beyond our normal course of deliverables.

- Conflict resolution and client retention skills.

Senior Search Engine Optimization Strategist

We are currently recruiting for a **Senior SEO Specialist. **In this role, you will apply your advancing knowledge of SEO and the tools to play a stronger role in executing on-site and off-site SEO strategies across multiple clients. This role places a strong emphasis on advancing client management skills and continuous learning in SEO. While gradually assuming more responsibilities related to client strategy, you will still collaborate closely with your manager. Success in this role requires excellence in maintaining client relationships, executing impactful strategies, and managing your client portfolio. Staying abreast of SEO best practices and the evolving landscape remains a key aspect of the role. The right candidate must be able work proficiently in a **remote environment ** but love getting together in person with clients, the team, and at our company sponsored events.

**Regular responsibilities include but are not limited to: **

- Manage communications and relationships with designated client accounts. This includes daily and weekly email and phone correspondence, as well as occasional in-person meetings

- Gather all pertinent facts and performance statistics for a client’s website and formulate a comprehensive campaign strategy based on client’s goals, available resources/budget, and SEO best practices

- Perform all on-site optimization, including (but not limited to) optimizing title tags, meta information, URLs, content, headers, and more

- Assist on technical auditing of client websites, competitive analyses, as well as site architecture audits

- Use client’s performance data and competitive insights to develop an off-site strategy to support SEO efforts

- Have at least a basic understanding of new developments in SEO, such as core web vitals, E-A-T, various algorithm updates, and more

- Collect all relevant performance metrics and create compelling and user-friendly reports for clients on a monthly basis. Clients may also require more frequent reporting or communications

- Create presentations for client use on an as-needed basis

- Attend conference calls and occasional in-person meetings with clients to present data, provide clear direction and insight on their campaigns, and provide complete answers to their questions

- Provide ad hoc phone and email support for clients

- Independently research current SEO methodologies to supplement on-the-job training in order to broaden SEO skill set

**Required Skills and Experience **

- Must have 2+ years experience managing SEO campaigns start to finish, concept to execution

- Must have demonstrated ability to handle large, complex projects

- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and feel comfortable making presentations both internally and to clients

- Must have strong MS Office Suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

- Must have experience with Google Analytics or other major web analytics programs

- Must be “conversant” in HTML – you should be able to read code and identify certain elements

- Must have strong quantitative analytical skills – numbers should excite you, not scare you

- Must love data (bonus points if you have an interesting data story to tell)

- Previous agency experience is highly desirable

- Previous experience with Brightedge, Moz, SEMRush or other SEO software is a plus
