Location: Strip District, Pittsburgh, PA – Onsite 3-5 days/week
Reports To: Finance Director
Work Model: Hybrid. Flexible with minimum of 3 days/week onsite
POSITION SUMMARY: STE Aethon, Inc. is looking for a Jr. Staff Accountant for the Finance Department to facilitate company growth, the implementation of a new ERP/Financial system, and increased reporting requirements What YOU Will DO: Accounts Payable
Post Invoices in the ERP system
Coding of Administrative Invoices
Weekly Vendor Check Runs
Generation and Posting of Vendor Wires
Monitor Vendor Inquiries
Track and file purchase requisitions
Process vendor record add and change requests
Preparation of 1099’s
Expense Reports
Review Employee Expense Reports
Process Expense Reports on a Weekly Basis
General Ledger and Financial Reporting
Process journal entries
Assist in month-end closing
Prepare ad hoc financial reports as needed
Jr Staff Accountant assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Finance Director
What YOU Need to Succeed:
General knowledge of Financial Statements and reporting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, experience with combined ERP/Financial systems (Abas, SAP, or similar) and Concur for expense reports
Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
Excellent organizational skills
This role is in a small team where responsibilities will evolve over time. The ideal candidate is adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable pivoting priorities with business needs
Education and Experience
Two to four years in an accounting position OR
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, preferably with concentration in Accounting or Finance
Public Accounting experience and/or accounting in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
