About the role

About the Company
Our client is a top-tier, rapidly growing RIA serving High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) families and individuals. The firm is known for its collaborative culture, sophisticated planning strategies, and high-touch client service. This position is in-office, five days a week, and offers close partnership with senior advisory leadership in an environment that values precision, teamwork, and integrity.
About the Role
The Senior Financial Planner will work closely with a Senior Advisor to oversee an assigned book of HNW and UHNW clients. You will serve as the lead planning strategist for these households—designing, coordinating, and executing advanced wealth planning strategies—while supporting the Senior Advisor on client relationship leadership and investment direction. This collaborative model ensures seamless service delivery, continuity across generations, and sustained relationship depth.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Senior Advisor to manage an assigned group of HNW and UHNW clients, serving as the primary resource for all planning-related matters.
  • Develop, refine, and implement comprehensive financial plans that integrate income, estate, charitable, and tax strategies.
  • Lead discovery meetings to clarify client goals and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the investment and operations teams to align assets and portfolios with planning objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal professionals (CPAs, attorneys, insurance specialists, trustees) to ensure consistent, multi-generational outcomes.
  • Prepare advanced analyses, reports, and plan updates for client review meetings with the Senior Advisor.
  • Identify planning opportunities or potential risks within your assigned accounts and recommend proactive solutions.
  • Support the onboarding and transition process for new clients or inherited relationships to ensure continuity of service standards.

Qualifications
  • 7–10 years of experience delivering advanced planning solutions to HNW and UHNW clients within an RIA or private wealth environment.
  • Deep expertise in tax, estate, trust, and philanthropic planning; strong understanding of complex family structures.
  • Proven success collaborating with senior advisors to manage shared client relationships.
  • CFP® required; CPA, CFA, or JD/LLM preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, analytical acumen, and client-service orientation.
  • Solid understanding of investment concepts and integration within holistic planning frameworks.

Required Skills
  • Advanced scenario modeling and planning analysis.
  • Relationship collaboration and team-based account management.
  • Strategic planning execution and operational follow-through.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation ability.
  • High attention to detail balanced with big-picture perspective.
