About the RoleWe are hiring a People & Operations Manager to be the connective tissue of SNH AI. This is a standalone, high-ownership role. We are looking for someone to build it, own it, and grow with it as we scale. This is a jack of all trades position, and the scope is intentionally broad: you will own talent acquisition end-to-end, run office and culture operations, manage internal communications, liaise with our PEO on HR matters, and build the frameworks that help our people grow. This is a role for someone who has done this before at a startup or small company, knows what good looks like, and does not need to be managed into it. Over time, as the company grows, this role grows with it. This role is fully on-site in Austin. We are building a company culture that is present and in-person, and this person is central to making that real. What You’ll Do Talent Acquisition Operations
Own the full recruiting lifecycle from intake to offer for every open role at SNH AI
Partner with hiring managers to gather role requirements, define the ideal candidate profile, and establish comp bands in coordination with leadership
Set up and manage relationships with external recruiters and sourcing partners; hold them accountable to pipeline quality and velocity
Own the interview pipeline: manage candidate flow, scheduling, feedback collection, and stage progression
Track and report on recruiting metrics such as time to fill, pipeline conversion, offer acceptance rate, source quality
People Operations & PEO Liaison
Design and continuously improve the SNH AI employee onboarding and offboarding experience
Serve as the primary point of contact with our PEO for benefits administration, payroll questions, compliance, and employee relations matters
Field HR questions from employees and route them appropriately; maintain a clear, approachable internal HR presence
Support performance management cycles. Coordinate review timelines, collect documentation, and ensure the process runs on schedule
Career Development & People Frameworks
Work with company leaders to define and maintain career ladders and role leveling frameworks for each team at SNH AI
Design competency frameworks that give managers clear tools to assess performance and recognize growth
Partner with team leads to implement regular check-in rhythms, feedback processes, and growth planning conversations
Own the cadence and logistics for quarterly reviews and any annual performance processes
Internal Communications
Own all internal company communications and develop a consistent communication rhythm
Coordinate executive announcements and all-hands logistics with agendas, materials, follow-up
Office Operations & Culture
Own the Austin office environment and manage recurring culture touchpoints: Friday team lunches, birthday and work anniversary recognitions, spouse and partner appreciation moments, and other team traditions
Plan and execute internal events like quarterly reviews, hackathons, team building activities, holiday celebrations, and ad hoc team experiences
Bring creativity and care to how we bring the team together
Must Have
4–7 years of experience in people operations, HR, talent acquisition, or a combined role with at least one stint as the sole people/ops person at a startup or small company
End-to-end recruiting ownership: you have run a full search from intake to offer, including managing external recruiters
Proven ability to build people infrastructure from scratch. You have created something (an onboarding program, a career ladder, a performance process) that did not exist before you got there
Exceptional organizational skills. You manage multiple work streams simultaneously without dropping anything
Strong written communication: you write clearly, warmly, and professionally across contexts like offer letters, company announcements, event invites, sensitive employee conversations
High emotional intelligence: people trust you quickly, feel comfortable coming to you, and leave conversations feeling heard
Based in Austin, TX (this is an in-person role)
Nice to Have
Familiarity with ATS and recruiting operations tooling
Exposure to comp banding and job architecture. You have set or structured compensation frameworks, even informally
An interest in AI and technology. Intellectual curiosity about what we are building goes a long way here
