The ideal candidate will participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, technical design, coding, testing, implementation, and production support.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Gathering and analyzing business requirements with stakeholders
- Participating in technical design and solution planning sessions
- Creating technical specifications and system documentation
- Designing, coding, testing, and implementing software modules using PowerBuilder and .NET technologies
- Developing and maintaining databases, tables, triggers, stored procedures, and SQL queries
- Performing unit, system, and stress testing activities
- Reviewing code and test results of development team members
- Supporting helpdesk requests, troubleshooting issues, and implementing system enhancements
- Collaborating with project teams in environments following formal project management methodologies
Required Experience
- 7+ years of experience writing PowerBuilder code
- 4+ years of experience with C# / .NET development
- 4+ years of experience with database development including SQL, triggers, stored procedures, and table design
- 5+ years of experience gathering requirements and creating technical design documentation
- 5+ years of experience working on projects following Project Management methodologies
Environment
- Sybase ASE 16, Transact-SQL, PowerBuilder 2022 R3
- .NET, MSSQL, FileNet, Microsoft Office Suite
- Windows and Unix server environments
