Hybrid Position Job Description: We are seeking experienced Software Architects to support Phase II of the Public Assistance Recovery and Tracking System (PARTS) Renewal project. The role involves redesigning and modernizing a legacy mainframe Lottery Application by replacing it with a new Oracle-based solution. Key Responsibilities Include
Analyzing application domains and preparing software requirements and technical specification documents
Translating business requirements into scalable system and architecture designs
Designing, developing, and supporting Oracle PL/SQL applications and database solutions
Supporting Oracle APEX application development and modernization initiatives
Working with Micro Focus COBOL and Oracle ProCobol environments for legacy system integration and support
Managing Oracle database administration tasks including tuning, storage management, and user administration
Supporting data warehousing and ETL processes using PL/SQL, DDL, and DML
Coordinating changes across system components and supporting testing activities
Creating and maintaining technical and architecture documentation
Providing technical guidance, mentoring, and knowledge transfer to staff and project teams
Required Experience
7+ years of experience with Oracle 12c or higher, including PL/SQL development, stored procedures, tuning, and database design
7+ years of experience with Micro Focus COBOL runtime environments and Oracle ProCobol
7+ years of Oracle database administration experience
7+ years of experience with Oracle Application Express (APEX)
7+ years of experience with Oracle data warehousing and ETL processes
7+ years of experience documenting technical and architecture specifications
