Job Description Design and deliver customized water quality sensors in support of our OEM client base. Develop products using 3D CAD design tools and support transfer to manufacturing through creation of 2D design prints and bills of materials. Collaborate with R&D chemists and electrical engineers to develop new measurement technologies and capabilities. Key Responsibilities
Designing custom water quality sensors conforming with product requirements for laboratory and industrial applications
Utilizing Autodesk® Inventor® CAD software to create detailed 2D and 3D product designs
Project and timeline management for new product development (NPD) projects
Validating product designs by assisting manufacturing to build product samples and executing performance validation tests
Design evaluation for manufacturability (DFM)
Specifying component material requirements and collaborating with supply chain to qualify suppliers
Creation and management of product bills of materials
Evaluation of product requirements feasibility and advising on alternative design tradeoffs
Evaluating product costs including material and labor analysis
Troubleshooting and root cause analysis of product failure modes
Educational/Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
2 – 5 years of engineering experience with a focus on product design, preferably for test and measurement applications
Experience with CAD software, experience with Autodesk® Inventor® is preferred
Basic understanding of BOM creation, both in CAD software and ERP software is preferred
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
Qualifications
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Strong understanding of GD&T principles
Strong problem solving skills and ability to analyze and evaluate design and manufacturing tradeoffs
Expertise designing parts for injection molding or machining manufacturing processes is a plus
Expertise with 3D printing part fabrication is a plus

Competitive base salary (salary range of $70k-$80k DOE)
