**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workers' Compensation Claims Representatives to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of claims handling experience, with a strong background in New York jurisdictional regulations and processes. This position is responsible for managing and processing workers' compensation claims, ensuring timely and accurate decisions while adhering to all applicable laws and regulations.

- Independently handle a capped caseload of workers' compensation claims, from inception to resolution, ensuring adherence to company procedures, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

- Negotiate settlements of claims within designated authority to reach claim resolution.

**Qualifications**

**PRIMARY PURPOSE ****: ** Gathers, analyzes, and presents information on various risk management initiatives; manages certificate of insurance requests, security arrangements and inquiries for international travel, and maintains vital risk management information.

Claims Examiner Workers Compensation I Remote

**PRIMARY PURPOSE **: To analyze complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due; to work with high exposure claims involving litigation and rehabilitation; to ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within service expectations, industry best practices and specific client service requirements; and to identify subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Analyzes and processes complex or technically difficult workers' compensation claims by investigating and gathering information to determine the exposure on the claim; manages claims through well-developed action plans to an appropriate and timely resolution.

- Negotiates settlement of claims within designated authority.

- Calculates and assigns timely and appropriate reserves to claims; manages reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.

- Calculates and pays benefits due; approves and makes timely claim payments and adjustments; and settles clams within designated authority level.

- Prepares necessary state fillings within statutory limits.

- Manages the litigation process; ensures timely and cost effective claims resolution.

- Coordinates vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management.

- Uses appropriate cost containment techniques including strategic vendor partnerships to reduce overall cost of claims for our clients.

- Manages claim recoveries, including but not limited to: subrogation, Second Injury Fund excess recoveries and Social Security and Medicare offsets.

**Primary Purpose Of The Role**

To analyze reported leave requests and determine paid leave benefits due based on client paid leave plans, policies, state and federal regulations and to make timely calculations, payments and/or adjustments for client paid leave plans ensuring that on-going claim management is within company service standards and industry best practices.

**Essential Responsiblities May Include**

- Establishes FMLA claims; tracks and codes documentation in accordance with internal workflow processes.

- Analyzes FMLA and other paid leave claims to determine eligibility, certification, payment calculations, payments and/or adjustments in compliance with client paid leave plans, policies, and state and federal regulations.

- Identifies action plan, determines benefits due, and makes timely case decisions based on service expectations as established by the client.

- Communicates decisions and on-going expectations with claimants and clients.

- Maintains professional client relationships.

- Attendance during scheduled work hours is required.

**Qualifications**

- Education & Licensing: High school diploma or GED required.

- Skills: Strong oral and written communication, computer literate – including Microsoft Office, organizational skills required

- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products, Windows environment.

- Must meet minimum typing requirements.

- Experience: Clerical or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred

Intake Care Coordinator

****Standard hours are 11:30am - 8:00pm EST ****

-  Training schedule for the first 2 weeks of employment is 8am- 4:30pm EST**

**PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE: **To accurately set up new orders into the operating system and provide support to our clients.

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Sets up and enters new claims into claims management system.

- Enters claims data into the claims management system upon requesting the appropriate information and analyzing the responses.

- Makes outbound calls to claimant and/or client to obtain new claim details and receives inbound calls.

- Finds opportunities to refer claims within the organization.

- Assigns claims using the tools provided.

- Supports claims staff by providing accurate information during the claim set up process.

- Sets up Quotashare claims.

- Assists with creating documentation and processes to streamline workflow.

- Reviews daily reports to ensure claims are processed.

- Assists with file reviews to ensure accurate set ups.

- Uses multiple platforms to look for adjusters to assign claims

- Makes outbound call and/or text to adjusters to discuss claim details for assignment. (Using Sedgwick’s texting platform)

- Ensure all parties have the required information in order to successfully manage a claim, including, loss location, notice of loss (NOL), fee schedule, etc.

- Works with management to make determination on assignment process and resources used.

**ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES**

- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Supports the organization's quality program(s).

- Travels as required.

**Qualifications**

**Education & Licensing**

High school diploma or GED required.

**Experience**

Two (2) years of clerical or property claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

**Skills & Knowledge**

- Fluent in Spanish preferred

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
