We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires a strong understanding of various accounting software and principles, including GAAP, and experience with both corporate and non-profit accounting environments. The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial data, performing reconciliations, and supporting budgeting and financial analysis activities. Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Perform general ledger accounting and ensure accuracy of journal entries.
Reconcile accounts such as bank statements, accounts receivable/payable, and general ledger accounts.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently.
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, Connectwise and other financial tools.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Support budgeting processes by analyzing variances and preparing financial reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and governmental regulations when applicable.
Handle payroll processing and related tax filings.
Perform double-entry bookkeeping and account reconciliation tasks regularly.
Prepare detailed journal entries for various financial transactions.
Contribute to internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
Fully proficient in Quickbooks (Minimum 5 years ), Connectwise proficiency a plus
Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
