What you will be Doing:
We are seeking a hands-on Network Administrator to support and enhance our IT operations. This position is ideal for a self-motivated professional who enjoys working in a dynamic small-business environment and is eager to take ownership of the full IT infrastructure stack.
Our Technology Environment
  • Approximately 50 users in a mixed-device environment
  • Windows and macOS devices (managed via Intune)
  • Microsoft 365 suite
  • SonicWall NSA 2800 (VPN and perimeter security)
  • Ubiquiti UniFi wireless infrastructure
  • Hyper-V cluster (7 servers)
  • HP SAN (Alleta MP) for storage
  • Datto backup solutions
  • SentinelOne endpoint protection and Blackpoint MDR

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure and systems, including firewalls, VPNs, routers, and switches
  • Install and configure network equipment; troubleshoot and resolve hardware and network issues
  • Communicate networking issues to management and key stakeholders
  • Administer and support Microsoft 365 and Intune device management
  • Oversee Hyper-V server environment, virtualization, and storage systems
  • Monitor system performance, security, and backups (Datto)
  • Collaborate with security vendors (SentinelOne, Blackpoint) to maintain strong cybersecurity posture
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues organization-wide
  • Implement and document IT best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Provide responsive, professional support to end users
  • Lead network infrastructure projects from planning and procurement to implementation and documentation
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and external consultants; manage vendor relationships and conduct regular business reviews

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in network and/or system administration
  • Strong background with Microsoft 365, Intune, and Windows environments
  • Familiarity with macOS support in business settings
  • Experience with firewall management (SonicWall preferred)
  • Knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V) and SAN storage systems
  • Understanding of cybersecurity tools and best practices
  • Experience with backup and recovery platforms (Datto or similar)
  • Proven troubleshooting abilities
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Self-driven and adaptable

Preferred/Bonus Experience
  • Experience with UniFi networking equipment
  • Exposure to MDR/XDR security environments
  • Interest in emerging technologies
