When you join Savills, our ask for you is simple: Be extraordinary, together ABOUT THE ROLE Savills’ Project and Program Management (PPM) group is a quality-driven consulting team serving clients across a range of sectors, including corporate, educational, healthcare, hospitality, retail, non-profit institutional, and commercial/residential real estate development. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with at least 8 years of experience leading design and construction projects from inception through closeout, coordinating multiple workstreams across diverse stakeholder groups. This is a delivery-focused, client-facing role responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design coordination, procurement, construction execution, and project closeout. This role is suited for a candidate who combines technical design/construction expertise with strong client management, team leadership, and operational discipline. The individual will lead projects independently, manage internal and external teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role is based in Los Angeles and requires in-person attendance four days per week, with Friday remote unless client needs require otherwise. Travel may be required based on client or project needs. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all phases of the project lifecycle, from pre-design through closeout, ensuring alignment with the client’s goals, scope, budget, and timeline
Oversee architectural and engineering design processes, including coordinating with architects, interior designers, MEP/Structural/Civil engineers, Technology Teams and other consultants
Manage the design review and value engineering process, providing technical oversight
Oversee the preparation and coordination of construction documents, ensuring completeness and alignment with long lead and regulatory / permitting requirements
Manage the bidding and procurement process for general contractors, including the development of RFPs, bid leveling and contract negotiation
Monitor construction progress through regular field reports, schedule analysis, and budget tracking; proactively manage RFIs, change orders, and punch lists
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress
Manage all vendors, consultants and sub-contractors involved with the project for QA/QC, day-to-day schedule alignment, contractual obligations and from a project financial perspective
Create and implement the project schedule and budget, cost and quality
Anticipate potential risks and guide decision-making when unforeseen situations arise
Maintain client relationships and develop a network within the industry
Lead project team members and direct project activities
Support senior team members, when applicable, with executive project-related communications
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, Construction
Management or a related field
8+ years of relevant experience in design/construction methodologies and processes with on- site experience
This is a construction-focused technical project management role, not an IT or administrative project position
Experience with GMP methodology required
Experience managing others and fostering client relationships with a wide variety of personality types
A working understanding of budget and schedule management
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in person in Los Angeles four days per week, with Friday remote unless client needs require otherwise
