Senior Project Manager, Washington DC/Northern Virginia
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager, with at least 8 years of experience managing the full life cycle of a variety of projects, from conception to move-in. We are looking for a driven and passionate leader that can inspire collaboration and teamwork.
Savills is the home for unique, confident and skilled individuals to be a key part of our dynamic growing team. The ideal candidate should be sharp, able to think on their feet, an efficient and productive team member, and enjoy helping team members thrive. This is a construction-focused technical project management role, not an IT or administrative PM
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee architectural and engineering design processes, including coordinating with architects, interior designers, MEP engineers, and other consultants
  • Manage the design review and value engineering process, providing technical oversight.
  • Oversee the preparation and coordination of construction documents, ensuring completeness and alignment with regulatory and permitting requirements
  • Manage the bidding and procurement process for general contractors, including the development of RFPs, bid leveling and contract negotiation
  • Monitor construction progress through regular field reports, schedule analysis, and budget tracking; proactively manage RFIs, change orders, and punch lists
  • Oversee all phases of design and construction
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress
  • Manage all vendors, consultants and sub-contractors involved with the project
  • Create and implement the project schedule and budget, cost and quality
  • Anticipate possible problems and make decisions when unforeseen situations arise in the field
  • Maintain client relationships and develop a network within the industry
  • Lead project team members and direct project activities
  • Support senior team members with project-related communications
  • While this position is based in the Washington DC area, travel may be required throughout North America

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
  • 8-9+ years of experience with demonstrable knowledge of design/construction methodologies and processes with on-site experience
  • Experience with SCIF/SAPF Design or Construction is preferred but not required.
  • Experience managing others and fostering client relationships with a wide variety of personality types
  • A working understanding of budget and schedule management
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
