Specific Responsibilities include
The Role: Audience Acquisition - Events & Summits
The Director is a proven B2B audience lead generation marketer with strong skills in driving attendee ticket conversions, event website traffic conversions, leveraging social influencer marketing, converting linked in campaigns, driving group sales leads, event email campaign performance and social sharing.
Own audience strategy, attendee acquisition, and revenue‑driving campaigns for SAPinsider’s flagship conferences; lead a high‑impact team responsible for predictable ticket sales and pipeline.
Translate company event revenue goals into audience, registration, and show‑rate targets, and build a detailed attendee acquisition plan to achieve them.
Specific Responsibilities include
  • Build, lead, and coach a small attendee‑marketing “SWAT” team (2–3 people) focused on list building, campaign execution, and analytics, with clear ownership of ticket‑sales metrics for each person.
  • Create repeatable, scalable attendee‑acquisition playbooks and operating cadences so the team can execute high‑quality campaigns quickly across multiple SAPinsider events each year.
  • Own positioning and messaging for why target SAP customers and prospects should buy tickets now (not later), ensuring all creative and copy clearly communicate business outcomes and urgency.
  • Design and run always‑on and event‑specific multi‑channel campaigns (email, paid social, search, retargeting, in‑product, community, SDR outreach) focused purely on moving prospects to paid registrations and attendance.
  • Monitor ticket sales performance daily and weekly, diagnose gaps versus plan, and rapidly adjust channels, offers, and messaging to get back above target.
  • Optimize every step of the registration funnel—from ad click to payment confirmation—to remove friction, improve page performance, and increase paid conversion rates.
  • Own event websites and registration flows for SAPinsider events in partnership with web and product teams, ensuring messaging, value propositions, and CTAs are tuned for ticket purchase, not just signups.
  • Define and continuously refine the ideal attendee profile for each SAPinsider event (roles, industries, geos, SAP use cases) and build segmented prospect lists that are large enough to support over‑plan ticket sales.
  • Lead ongoing A/B and multivariate testing of subject lines, landing pages, creative, and offers, making data‑driven decisions to lower cost‑per‑registration and increase conversion to paid tickets.
  • Develops and implements multi-channel marketing campaigns for global events such as annual conferences, summits, Executive Forums and roadshows with the primary focus on driving higher event ticket sales as well as conversion and customer engagement.
  • Partners closely with our content and design teams to create visually appealing email templates as well as written content that is unified and targets high open and click through rates.

Professional Qualifications:
  • Built and managed high performance attendee ticket sales marketing teams.
  • Proven lead generation marketing experience delivering attendee ticket sales.
  • B2B Enterprise Technology event marketing in a direct paid event attendee acquisition sales model.
  • Success in running multiple concurrent end-to-end marketing campaigns for multi-day, global B2B events with 100’s to 1,000’s of paid in-person attendees.
  • Proven experience in building compelling event websites and mobile applications featuring session depth, speakers and experiences.
  • Experience building and deploying targeted Persona role-based marketing campaigns to drive increased awareness, engagement, and conversions.
  • Proven experience with managing email and newsletter campaigns to drive attendee and group registrations.
  • Direct experience with opt-in registration-based marketing campaigns.
  • Hands on experience with event marketing technology platforms, AI adoption, messaging platforms, social media platforms and data reporting analytics.
  • Direct experience with event marketing website registration platforms, mobile event applications and WordPress CMS.
  • Knowledge of current social media platforms and digital marketing channels to drive audience acquisition and awareness.
