- Monitor and audit IEPs, FBAs, BIPs, multilingual learner documentation, and student accommodation systems to ensure compliance with federal, state, and DPS requirements

- Lead school-based systems to track IEP timelines, service delivery, multilingual learner compliance indicators, and accommodation implementation

- Oversee evaluation, re-evaluation, amendment, and compliance processes to ensure procedural fidelity

- Maintain accurate records for state reporting, including December Count and audit submissions

- Partner with school leaders and student services teams to strengthen compliance practices across Special Education, ELD, and ISA systems

- Provide training and coaching to staff on special education law, documentation, multilingual learner compliance, and best practices for inclusive supports

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree from an accredited college or university

- Understanding of English Language Acquisition, inclusive instructional practices, and effective teaching practices for diverse learners and students with disabilities

- Strong ability to collaborate with school leaders, staff, and families to support compliance, equitable access to grade-level content, and positive student outcomes

Must possess the following:

- Holds a Colorado teaching license or is currently eligible for one with the appropriate endorsement for this position

- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) endorsement from an accredited college and/or coursework demonstrating understanding of English Language Acquisition and effective teaching practices with diverse learners preferred

At Rocky Mountain Prep, literacy intervention is not remediation but acceleration. We believe every scholar can become a confident, critical reader and writer when provided with precise, data-driven instruction and affirming, identity-centered learning experiences. Deans of Culture at Rocky Mountain Prep Will…

- Lead the implementation of school-wide culture systems that promote safety, belonging, and high expectations, including restorative practices and behavior supports

- Ensure consistent, equitable application of discipline protocols aligned to anti-bias and inclusive practices

- Conduct frequent classroom walkthroughs to reinforce strong culture, provide feedback, and support joyful, academically focused environments

- Partner with instructional leaders and teachers to align behavioral expectations with rigorous academic goals

- Build authentic, trust-based relationships with students and families through home visits, proactive communication, and family partnership

- Collaborate with MTSS and attendance teams to analyze data and design Tier 1–3 interventions that increase engagement and reduce barriers to success

- Facilitate character development and social-emotional learning groups that build student agency, identity, and community

- Respond to behavioral incidents with urgency and care, including mediations, crisis response, and compliance with Title IX protocols

- Model and coach staff to uphold consistent, culturally responsive practices that sustain a safe, inclusive, and joyful school culture

All Members of the Mental Health Team at Rocky Mountain Prep will:Advance the social-emotional, behavioral, and mental wellness of students through strengths-based, culturally responsive, and equity-driven practices grounded in a multi-tiered system of support. They proactively design and implement Tier 1, 2, and 3 interventions that promote safety, belonging, and academic access, while responding effectively to crisis and high-impact student needs.

These team members partner closely with families, educators, and community providers to remove barriers to learning, uphold student rights, and ensure compliance with all applicable special education and student services regulations. They use data to inform decisions, coach adults toward best practices, and serve as trusted advocates so that every scholar experiences dignity, connection, and the opportunity to thrive.

Requirements

Required:

- High school diploma or GED

- At least five years of experience supporting behavior in a school environment (this may include classroom teaching experience)

- Ability to build strong relationships quickly with a variety of stakeholders, including students, families, and staff

- Strong organizational and self-management skills, with the ability to complete tasks on a deadline

- Pass a background check

- Demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States

Our Approach to Special Education Compliance

At Rocky Mountain Prep, special education compliance is a lever for equity, not just adherence. We ensure every student with a disability receives services that are both legally sound and academically rigorous. Our approach prioritizes proactive systems, precise documentation, and continuous monitoring to guarantee fidelity to federal, state, and district requirements. We invest in building the capacity of school teams through clear guidance, coaching, and training, so compliance translates into meaningful access to grade-level content. By centering students and partnering with families, we uphold our commitment to inclusive, high-quality education for all scholars.

Manager of Special Education Compliance Will…

- Monitor and audit IEPs, FBAs, and BIPs to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and DPS requirements

- Lead network-wide systems to track IEP timelines, service delivery, and compliance indicators

- Oversee evaluation, re-evaluation, and amendment processes to ensure procedural fidelity

- Maintain accurate records for state reporting, including December Count and audit submissions

- Partner with school leaders and special education teams to strengthen compliance practices

- Provide training and coaching to staff on special education law, documentation, and best practices

- Collaborate with district authorizers and external partners to ensure aligned implementation

- Identify compliance risks and proactively develop solutions to address gaps

- Serve as a strategic thought partner to network leadership on compliance and program integrity

All Teachers at Rocky Mountain Prep will:Take ownership of student outcomes by setting high expectations, using data to guide instruction, and ensuring all scholars grow through strong planning, rigorous teaching, and timely re-teaching. They build inclusive, relationship-centered classrooms by implementing proactive routines, culturally responsive practices, and consistent communication with families. RMP teachers collaborate closely with colleagues and support staff, contribute to school-wide initiatives, and support daily operations to maintain a safe and organized environment. They also model RMP’s PEAK values in all interactions and remain flexible and responsive in a fast-paced, data-driven environment aligned to our evolving Concept Essence.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree (any subject)

- Knowledge of and experience with Special Education laws, compliance indicators, IEP monitoring and auditing processes, policies, procedures, programming, and best practices.

- Knowledge of curriculum, supervision, instruction, school-based processes and operations, culture, and community, along with a strong student focus on individualized student needs

- Strong knowledge of Colorado Academic Standards, methods of ensuring they appear in IEPs and Inclusive Practices for students with disabilities.

Must possess the following:

- Current Colorado teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)

- Special Education teachers must be certified in Colorado. If your license is from another state, you must complete the transfer before the first day of work.
