The Opportunity R&M Engineering is looking for engineers to join our team as we grow to become the #1 engineer for interior systems (Raised Access Floors, Suspended Ceilings, Data Center HAC's and other components). As this is a remote position, the candidate is responsible for providing a clean, quite and professional working location and environment. Opportunities for growth include transitioning to senior engineering, AI tools engineer, and client relationships manager. The Position As an interior systems engineer at R&M, you will work with teams to accomplish big goals, providing calculation packages for seismic stability of interior systems. Calculations must comply with ASCE 7 and other building codes and CISCA referenced material. You will provide calculations for bracing, anchoring into concrete or other substrates and provide details where applicable for installers to follow. You will review shop drawings to determine compliance with your designs. Your team will also assist with developing AI and other tools as we create automated systems to better serve our clients. Occasionally, you will assist the structural department with engineering tasks for industrial structures: conveyors, foundations, structural frames and supports, etc. The Company For 40 years, we have been delivering on our mission to serve our partners with responsive, dependable, technical expertise to help them conceive and achieve their visions. B.S. or M.S. in civil/structural engineering
Knowledge of codes (AISC, ASCE, ACI, IBC, etc..)
Understanding of engineering processes and calculations
Familiarity with design software: Risa 3D, Enercalc, MathCAD, Excel, etc.
Experience in drafting and modeling, AutoCAD, Revit, or Solidworks, etc.
Friendly, motivated personality with a desire to serve through engineering.
