About the Opportunity The System Engineer - Infrastructure is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing critical IT infrastructure systems that support a fully distributed, remote workforce. This role focuses on endpoint management, identity and access management, and delivering Level 2 technical support. The position contributes by ensuring reliable and secure IT operations aligned with strategic goals, supporting various platforms and cloud services, and collaborating with senior engineers on infrastructure projects. Responsibilities
Endpoint Management: Act as the primary specialist for Windows 11 endpoint imaging, deployment, and troubleshooting. Manage endpoint policies and compliance using Microsoft Intune and deploy Windows Autopilot for device provisioning.
Cross-Platform Support: Troubleshoot endpoint issues across Windows, Apple, macOS, and iOS platforms. Support the entire endpoint lifecycle from initial procurement through final decommissioning.
Infrastructure Security: Ensure endpoints meet all security requirements, including encryption and antivirus settings. Monitor and optimize system performance, security, and compliance with industry security standards.
Technical Support: Provide Tier 2 infrastructure support covering endpoints, servers, and networking. Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate complex system and network issues.
Identity & Cloud Services: Support Microsoft 365 services and Identity and Access Management frameworks. Assist senior engineers with foundational Azure infrastructure tasks and own support for assigned software tools.
Automation & Projects: Develop and maintain basic PowerShell scripts for infrastructure automation. Lead small-to-medium infrastructure projects and contribute to larger corporate initiatives.
Requirements
Professional Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Systems Engineer focused on infrastructure and endpoint management.
Technical Ecosystems: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and Windows 11 deployment strategies.
Identity Management: Direct knowledge of Microsoft 365 Identity and Access Management, including Azure AD, MFA, and Conditional Access policies.
Core Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and general network issues.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, customer service, and technical writing skills. Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to work independently in remote settings.
Operations: Willingness to support after-hours operations when system needs arise.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Scripting and automation abilities utilizing PowerShell.
Experience managing Apple, macOS, and iOS devices within an enterprise environment.
