It emphasizes improving warehouse utilization, accuracy in pallet selection, and reducing labor costs and product damage. The U.S. office in Romeoville, IL, supports a growing employee base and upcoming manufacturing expansion. 2. About the Opportunity : The Site Manager is responsible for leading all on-site project activities for automated material handling system installations, from mobilization through commissioning and final acceptance. This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards while serving as the primary on-site liaison between the project team and customer. The position is integral to coordinating multiple stakeholders and driving successful project delivery. 3. Responsibilities :
Lead all on-site project activities from mobilization to demobilization
Manage installation and integration of automated systems including shuttles, conveyors, AS/RS, and robotics
Ensure daily execution aligns with schedule, budget, and quality targets
Serve as on-site decision maker and escalation point
Implement and enforce site safety programs and standards (OSHA/local regulations)
Conduct safety walks, toolbox talks, and audits
Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety procedures
Develop and manage schedules, coordinating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Identify risks early and apply mitigation strategies
Track progress and adjust execution plans as needed
Act as primary on-site customer contact and lead coordination meetings
Communicate project progress, risks, and recovery plans
Oversee mechanical, electrical, and controls installation ensuring adherence to specifications
Manage punch lists and inspections
Coordinate transition to commissioning teams and support testing and acceptance
Lead site closeout and documentation efforts
Produce site reports on progress, risks, and safety
Track budget, productivity, and materials usage
Maintain documentation and support project forecasting
4. Requirements :
Minimum 5 years experience in site management, construction, or industrial installation
Experience with automated material handling systems or robotics
Proven leadership of field teams and subcontractors
Ability to travel 60 to 90% annually depending on project lifecycle
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package :
Salary range: $90,000 to $122,000
