2. About the Opportunity:
The Senior Manager, Data Science and Machine Learning will lead the Data & AI team to develop and implement machine learning solutions that generate measurable business impact. This role involves setting strategic direction for AI-enabled products, collaborating across research and development, and guiding data scientists and ML engineers to deliver innovative solutions. The position is critical in translating complex AI initiatives into actionable outcomes that support growth and operational efficiency.
3. Responsibilities:
• Lead and influence cross-functional partners to create business value through ML and AI
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define AI product strategies
• Coordinate with leaders in Data Science, ML Engineering, and Platform teams to execute the ML platform vision
• Decompose large ML projects into manageable components to enable incremental delivery
• Mentor and coach data scientists and ML engineers to support their career development
• Integrate current data science best practices within the team
• Expand and enhance the AI product portfolio
• Maintain focus on key goals in a dynamic and evolving environment
4. Requirements:
• Advanced degree in Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in Data Science and ML Engineering teams
• Proven track record deploying machine learning solutions in large-scale production environments
• Strong foundation in statistics and machine learning mathematics
• Expertise in AI/ML disciplines such as computer vision or natural language processing
• Experience with ML libraries including Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch
• Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals including algorithm types, AB testing, hypothesis testing, and optimization
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to evaluate ML opportunities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting to senior leadership
• Experience mentoring and growing data science teams
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Zone A $230,000—$368,000 USD
• Zone B $200,000—$320,000 USD
• Zone C $180,000—$288,000 USD
• The starting salary will be based on skills, experience, and geographic location
• Additional compensation includes cash bonuses, equity, and benefits
