About the Role The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining quality assurance protocols to ensure the highest standards across all products and services within a strategic project with the Department of Veterans Affairs, affecting millions of veteran users. This role leads a team of QA professionals, collaborates with cross-functional teams, and drives continuous process improvements to enhance the overall customer experience. The position plays a critical role in maintaining quality and operational excellence in a high-impact government project. Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance policies and procedures
Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including planning, implementation, and monitoring
Lead and mentor the QA team to ensure high performance and professional development
Collaborate with product development, engineering, and operations teams to meet quality standards
Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify improvement areas and ensure compliance
Analyze data and metrics to identify trends and drive corrective actions
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field (or 8 additional years of relevant experience)
10 years of experience in a similar Quality Assurance leadership role
Experience creating and implementing detailed plans to ensure IT product, system, and service quality
Proven ability to resolve project or program release issues, including triage, escalation, and corrective action
Experience assuring the viability, functionality, and effectiveness of essential enterprise tools
