2. About the Opportunity:The Quality Assurance Engineer – Software leads quality planning, automation strategy, and release validation for a key proprietary web application. This role ensures high-quality, reliable software releases by defining test scope, integrating testing into development cycles, and enhancing automation and CI/CD practices. The position is pivotal in preventing defects early, supporting production deployment quality, and advancing QA processes in a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
3. Responsibilities:• Own end-to-end quality assurance strategy, including test planning, execution tracking, and release validation
• Define testing scope for new features and integrate tasks into sprint backlogs for timely delivery
• Expand and maintain automated testing frameworks, including Playwright automation
• Enhance CI/CD automation to enable rapid feedback and continuous quality validation
• Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria during design
• Lead root-cause analysis for production issues and implement preventive measures
• Serve as primary deployment owner to ensure quality standards before production release
• Continuously improve QA processes, automation coverage, and deployment workflows
• Contribute to documentation of quality standards, test cases, and deployment procedures
• Support scaling efforts as the application grows in complexity and user base
• Advocate for quality-driven engineering practices across the software development team
4. Requirements:• 4+ years of software quality assurance experience
• Strong understanding of modern web architectures, including RESTful APIs, microservices, and single-page applications
• Proficiency with automated testing frameworks and tools
• Experience developing and maintaining automated testing pipelines
• Solid knowledge of DevOps practices including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD methodologies
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Effective collaboration skills in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience with scripting languages and test automation tooling
• Background in security testing and familiarity with OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
• Experience with blue/green deployment strategies
• Ability to communicate technical processes in terms of business value to non-technical stakeholders
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• The anticipated minimum starting salary for this position is $95,000 - $115,000 per year. Actual salary varies based on experience, skills, certifications, and location.
• Eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation based on individual and organizational performance.
