2. About the Opportunity:The Outbound Logistics Manager will establish and lead the outbound logistics function, ensuring efficient and high-quality delivery operations. This role is critical to managing carrier relationships, designing and implementing logistics workflows, and driving performance metrics that impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The position supports cross-functional coordination and scales logistics capacity in line with business growth.
3. Responsibilities:• Evaluate, onboard, and manage outbound logistics providers
• Establish interim load posting processes using Central Dispatch if needed
• Negotiate carrier contracts and set service-level agreements for delivery standards and tracking
• Design end-to-end outbound logistics workflows and approval processes
• Define vehicle readiness criteria and coordinate handoffs between departments
• Build communication frameworks connecting Finance, Sales, Operations, and carriers
• Develop and enforce transport SOPs, damage protocols, and handoff procedures
• Own SLA framework for driver and carrier performance management
• Implement real-time load tracking for internal and customer visibility
• Define and monitor logistics KPIs such as delivery timeliness, damage rates, and cost per move
• Act as the main logistics contact for Sales and Finance teams
• Translate sales forecasts into logistics capacity plans
• Support logistics projects and operational improvements as needed
4. Requirements:• 3 to 5+ years managing outbound vehicle logistics or automotive transport networks
• Experience in third-party logistics contracting, carrier negotiation, and performance management
• Background in transport network design in hub-based or multi-site environments
• Skilled in designing cross-functional logistics workflows
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous or early-stage environments
• Strong ownership and operational follow-through
• Comfortable in fast-paced, high-growth settings
• Passion for electric vehicles and mobility innovation
Technical Skills:• Familiarity with Central Dispatch, TMS, and real-time transport visibility tools
• Experience with outbound automotive logistics providers such as Carpool Logistics, Runbuggy, or Acertus
• Advanced Excel and Sheets capabilities
• Proficiency with Slack, CRM, and operational dashboards
• Knowledge of West Coast carrier markets and lane dynamics
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Salary range of $80,000 to $120,000 base plus potential performance bonus
