About the Opportunity
The Legal Assistant II role supports the organization’s financial institution clients by handling various creditor rights legal matters. This position requires following directions from multiple internal and external stakeholders and producing accurate, timely work. It plays a key role in ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, client requirements, and court rules, contributing directly to the delivery of quality legal services.
Responsibilities
  • Update internal and external client systems within expected timeframes.
  • Sort, scan, categorize, label, digitally file, and organize legal documents.
  • Complete assigned work queue items on schedule.
  • Understand and apply basic legal concepts and terminology for accurate work.
  • Assist in preparing materials for court appearances.
  • Review and distribute incoming documents appropriately.
  • Communicate professionally via phone, email, and messaging platforms.
  • Complete assigned training in the firm’s learning management system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years of experience in data entry or a legal assistant role.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Skilled at accurate data entry.
  • Ability to follow instructions, job aids, and procedures.
  • Adherence to firm policies during work processing.
  • Strong time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Commitment to responsive, timely service.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and generally computer savvy.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and maintain focus while working on computers.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
  • Annualized Pay Range: $40,000 to $45,000.
