2. About the Opportunity:The Legal Assistant will deliver essential administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys. This role is key to ensuring efficient case management and legal document preparation, directly impacting client service quality. The position involves handling legal documents, coordinating communications, managing case files, assisting with research, and supporting billing and scheduling tasks. The role contributes to the overall productivity and effectiveness of the legal team.
3. Responsibilities:• Prepare, proofread, and process legal documents such as summons, subpoenas, complaints, appeals, and motions
• Manage correspondence including mailing, faxing, and coordinating deliveries to clients, witnesses, and court officials
• Organize and maintain case files, law libraries, and legal documents
• Assist attorneys with research and gathering records (employment, medical, etc.)
• Track deadlines, maintain calendars, and attend legal meetings to take notes
• Handle billing binders, enter daily time for timekeepers, and support other assistants as needed
• Manage projects and balance workloads within the practice group while maintaining confidentiality
4. Requirements:• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Preferred prior administrative experience in a legal setting
• Ability to manage multiple tasks independently and prioritize effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service focus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with quick adaptability to new tools
• Professional work ethic with a commitment to confidentiality
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• Pay range $28—$35 USD
