2. About the Opportunity:The IT Support Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for technology support within the organization, ensuring clinical, operational, and product teams have the necessary tools and access to support their work. This role is pivotal in maintaining the day-to-day IT operations, including first-line technical support, onboarding, device management, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The position contributes to a secure, reliable, and efficient technology environment that supports the organization’s mission to innovate in health and longevity.
3. Responsibilities:• Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and networking issues in a macOS environment.
• Manage help desk tickets from intake through resolution, escalating when necessary.
• Offer responsive support to team members via various communication channels.
• Maintain clear communication and status updates throughout support processes.
• Lead IT aspects of new-hire onboarding, including laptop provisioning and account setup.
• Create, modify, and remove user accounts and group memberships with proper approvals.
• Conduct access reviews and enforce least-privilege access for tools.
• Train new hires on core organizational tools.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, peripherals, and conferencing equipment.
• Perform system maintenance and updates to ensure security and compliance.
• Maintain hardware inventory and lifecycle tracking.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical and compliance issues.
• Support operational standards aligned with HIPAA and data privacy.
• Assist with audit evidence collection and documentation.
• Maintain IT documentation and identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Stay updated on relevant endpoint, SaaS, and security technologies.
• Collaborate on projects to enhance IT reliability, security, and user experience.
4. Requirements:• Strong troubleshooting skills with hardware, software, and network issues in macOS.
• Experience managing IT support queues and ticketing systems.
• Excellent communication and follow-through skills.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Interest in growing within a healthcare-regulated environment.
• Ability to support a hybrid work model based in Austin, Texas, with significant remote work.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
