About the Role The Import Coordinator is responsible for managing the import process to ensure smooth and compliant international shipments. This role is critical for maintaining regulatory compliance and facilitating timely delivery of goods. It supports the organization's supply chain efficiency and helps uphold product availability across global markets. Responsibilities
Coordinate and track international shipments to ensure timely delivery
Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, warehouse staff, and transportation providers
Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation requirements
Prepare and review international transaction documents including commercial invoices and shipping paperwork
Monitor shipment status and resolve delays, customs clearance issues, or documentation discrepancies
Maintain accurate records of imports and regulatory compliance
Communicate shipment updates with suppliers, internal teams, and logistics partners
Support logistics planning and scheduling for inbound shipments
Stay updated on import/export regulations and industry best practices
Requirements
Degree or certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred
Proven experience as an Import Coordinator or similar role
Experience with drayage operations and warehouse coordination preferred
Knowledge of import procedures, customs regulations, and shipping documentation
Familiarity with international freight documentation
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Proficiency in TMS, ERP systems, port/customs web platforms, and Microsoft Office
Compensation $25.00 — $29.00 USD per hour, based on experience and qualifications Benefits & Perks
