About the Opportunity
The Customer Service Representative is a critical frontline role responsible for being the voice of support for Veterans. Working in a fully remote environment, you will handle inbound inquiries, providing accurate information and compassionate solutions. This position is essential for maintaining the organization’s high standards of service, ensuring every caller feels heard and helped. This is a structured role with a set schedule, perfect for individuals who are disciplined, service-oriented, and eager to make a tangible difference from their home office.
Responsibilities
  • Inbound Support: Answer incoming calls promptly and assist Veterans with various inquiries and service needs.
  • Empathetic Service: Approach every interaction with a positive, understanding, and patient demeanor.
  • Problem Resolution: Actively listen to customer concerns and work diligently to find and implement effective solutions.
  • Documentation: Maintain high levels of accuracy by documenting all call details and actions taken within the internal system.
  • Relationship Building: Develop positive rapport with a diverse group of callers, ensuring a respectful experience for all.
  • Operational Commitment: Ensure end-of-day coverage by handling all calls remaining in the queue, which may occasionally require overtime.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform additional support tasks as assigned to improve overall team efficiency.

Requirements
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen (work sponsorship is not available).
  • Documentation: Must possess two valid forms of ID; one must be a REAL ID or a valid U.S. Passport.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain and pass a mandatory VA government background check.
  • Experience: At least one year of call center experience is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with standard office software and equipment.
  • Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative remote team.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation
  • Total Hourly Pay: $21.97/hour.
  • Base Pay: $17.20/hour.
  • Health & Wellness Benefit: $4.77/hour (available for up to 40 hours per week).
  • Note: Pay rates may increase depending on specific geographic location and VA compliance requirements.
