2. About the Opportunity:The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will play a central role in building, scaling, and securing the systems that support the organization''s product. Reporting to the Cloud-Infra Engineering Manager, this position leads efforts to enhance infrastructure stability, deployment processes, and cloud environment reliability. The role involves close collaboration with Engineering, Data, and Security teams across multiple locations to support production systems, machine learning infrastructure, and operational tools that enable rapid and safe development.
3. Responsibilities:• Build, maintain, and scale production-ready cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Support machine learning pipeline development and data lake architecture.
• Advance build automation and transition the team from continuous integration to continuous delivery.
• Secure, scale, and manage Kafka clusters on Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Security teams to enhance infrastructure reliability, security, and compliance.
• Develop dashboards, alerts, internal tools, and response processes for security and reliability risks.
• Improve logging, monitoring, and observability of production systems.
• Support containerized application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Evaluate and implement tools to boost developer productivity, system reliability, and infrastructure scalability.
4. Requirements:• Experience using AI tools to enhance engineering workflows.
• Minimum 5 years as a DevOps Engineer, Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
• Preferably based in Central or Eastern Time Zone US states with experience working in distributed teams.
• Production experience with Kubernetes and AWS or similar cloud providers.
• Proficiency in building and running Docker containers.
• Programming skills in Scala, Java, or Python.
• Experience with logging and monitoring tools like ELK or Prometheus.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
• Strong understanding of production systems, scalable architectures, reliability, and security best practices.
• Advantageous to have experience managing Kafka clusters and streams.
• Advantageous to have experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code.
• Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn and apply new technologies.
5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:• The US base salary range for this full-time position is $150,000 to $170,000.
• Salary is determined by role, level, skills, experience, and education or training.
