About Reidy.AI
Reidy.AI is a Houston-based real estate technology company building the next generation of AI-powered property intelligence tools. The Reidy.AI Suite is currently in active development toward a 2026 launch, spanning mobile, web, backend, and AI services. We operate at the intersection of real estate, machine learning, and cloud infrastructure, and we are looking for sharp, motivated students who want hands-on experience with a production-grade tech stack before they enter the workforce.
The Opportunity
This internship is built for computer science or software engineering students who want real-world experience beyond what coursework provides. You will work alongside our engineering team of 11+ developers, actively contributing to quality assurance across all layers of the Reidy.AI Suite. This is not a shadow role. You will have ownership of test plans, bug reports, and minor bug fixes in a live development environment with a real beta deadline on the horizon.
High performers will be considered for full-time positions as Reidy.AI scales toward and beyond the beta launch.
What You'll Do
Quality Assurance
Design and execute manual and automated test cases across mobile (iOS/SwiftUI), web (React), and backend (.NET/C# API) surfaces
Perform regression testing on new features and bug fixes across sprint cycles
Test authentication flows, user role enforcement, and feature flag behavior across all platform user types
Validate API endpoints using tools
such as Postman or Swagger for correctness, edge cases, and error handling
Conduct data integrity checks on SQL Server schemas, EF Core migrations, and integration points with third-party data providers
Test real-time features including SignalR-based messaging and notification flows
Document and track defects in GitHub Issues with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, and supporting evidence
Bug Fixing
Triage and resolve small, well-defined bugs across the codebase under the guidance of senior engineers
Submit clean pull requests with descriptive commit messages and supporting context
Participate in code review for your own submissions and provide feedback on peers' work
Assist in verifying fixes deployed to the Azure staging environment before merge to main
Collaboration
Participate in weekly engineering sync meetings and async standups
Work within GitHub Projects to manage tasks, track sprint progress, and update statuses
Communicate blockers and findings proactively to the Technical Program Manager
What We're Looking For
Required:Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor's or advanced degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Solid understanding of software testing principles: unit, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing
Familiarity with REST APIs and tools like Postman for manual API testing
Comfort working with Git and GitHub (branches, pull requests, issues)
Strong written communication skills for clear, actionable bug reports
Self-directed with the ability to manage tasks independently in a remote-first environment
Preferred:Hands-on experience with .NET/C#, Swift/SwiftUI, React, or Python in an academic or professional setting
Exposure to automated testing frameworks (xUnit, XCTest, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
Experience with Azure cloud services or other major cloud providers
Familiarity with SQL and relational database concepts
Prior internship or project experience in a startup or agile development environment
