In this role, you will serve as the technical lead and design owner for customer-specific generator set solutions—delivering high-quality, cost-effective products that support mission-critical power applications. You’ll collaborate across global, cross-functional teams and play a key role in translating customer needs into manufacturable, real-world solutions.

The Salary range for this position is $83,300.00-$105,200.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and CAD development of custom generator sets, enclosures, and system accessories
- Own projects from initial customer requirements through engineering release and production support
- Develop detailed parametric models, assemblies, and drawings using Creo
- Provide technical leadership by guiding CAD designers and supporting global engineering resources
- Partner cross-functionally with:
- Sales & Application Engineering to translate customer needs into engineered solutions
- Electrical, controls, and harness teams to ensure full system integration
- Manufacturing and fabrication teams to ensure design for manufacturability
- Purchasing to support accurate component selection and on-time delivery
- Evaluate materials, components, and design approaches to optimize performance, cost, and quality
- Identify technical risks and drive effective, data-informed solutions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance engineering efficiency and custom order processes
- Occasionally engage with customers and global engineering teams
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with 5+ years of experience OR Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) with 3+ years of experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Creo CAD modeling (required)
- Proven experience designing industrial or engineered-to-order products
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global, cross-functional teams
