Job Description Summary
Provide enterprise leadership for Raymond James Investment Management’s (RJIM) global distribution strategy across intermediary, institutional and retirement channels. This role is responsible for setting clear strategic direction, leading and developing the full sales organization, establishing operational discipline and performance metrics, and partnering across the firm to drive organic growth, client outcomes, and RJIM’s long-term strategic objectives.

Strategy and Leadership
  • Develop and execute a clear, forward-looking global distribution strategy aligned with the firm’s growth objectives and investment capabilities.
  • Encompassing intermediary and institutional markets, set enterprise-level priorities for the sales organization, including clear capital and resource allocation decisions across channels.
  • Clearly articulate overarching intermediary and institutional strategies, while empowering sales leadership to determine the most effective channel-specific tactics.
  • Maintain senior-level relationships with strategic platforms, institutional clients, consultants, and key distribution partners.
  • Represent the firm at major client meetings, industry events, and external forums.
  • Reporting to the President, serve as a member of RJIM’s Senior Leadership Team on firmwide strategic growth initiatives.

Culture and Talent Development
  • Lead and develop a team of more than 60 sales professionals across all channels.
  • Build a sustainable leadership bench through recruiting, development, succession planning, and thoughtful performance management.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, coverage models, and accountability frameworks.
  • Reinforce a culture that prioritizes client needs, long-term outcomes, and professional integrity.

Operational Execution and Metrics
  • Establish clear productivity, activity, and performance metrics across the global sales organization.
  • Implement a disciplined management cadence, including regular business reviews and performance evaluations.
  • Analyze sales, pipeline, and market data and translate insights into actionable decisions and priorities.
  • Demonstrate prudent resource management, balancing near-term execution with longer-term platform growth and scalability.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and technology, and artificial intelligence to enhance client engagement, improve sales productivity, and support more informed decision-making.
  • Build strong, proactive partnerships with Compliance, Product, Marketing, and Investment teams to ensure aligned messaging and effective go-to-market execution.
  • Design and continuously evolve coverage models and client segmentation frameworks to improve sales productivity and client engagement.

Experience And Education
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced degree and/or professional designation such as MBA, CFA, CFP, or CIMA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in asset management distribution.
  • 7+ years of senior leadership experience managing national or global sales teams.
  • Proven success leading and scaling a multi-channel sales organization.
  • Deep understanding of intermediary and institutional distribution models and economics.

Licenses / Certifications
Series 7 and 63 licenses required or obtained with six months of hire.
Education
Bachelor’s: Business Administration, Bachelor’s: Finance, Bachelor’s: Marketing

Certifications
