Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, on-site role based in the Salt Lake City Metropolitan Area. The CTO will define the technology vision and roadmap, ensuring that all platforms and products support rapid and organized procurement for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading software development teams, overseeing system architecture, and driving product development from concept through launch and iteration. The CTO will collaborate closely with executive leadership on IT strategy, prioritize technology investments, and ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs. This role also involves establishing best practices for security, scalability, and reliability, managing technology budgets, mentoring engineering leaders, and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Strong background in Software Development and Product Development, with experience delivering scalable, secure, and high-availability systems.
  • Proven expertise in IT Strategy and Architecture, including defining technology roadmaps and designing robust system architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience in Project Management, leading cross-functional teams, managing timelines, and delivering complex initiatives on schedule.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing engineering organizations, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of procurement, supply chain, or related enterprise platforms is highly beneficial.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, APIs, integrations, and modern development practices (e.g., Agile, DevOps, CI/CD).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or equivalent experience in a senior technology leadership role is preferred.
