Job Summary
- Serve as a Senior SQL Developer, analyzing data, developing software solutions, and learning new technologies.
- Design, implement, and support various database-driven systems and reporting initiatives.
- Write complex SQL queries and develop advanced PL/SQL objects (including DML and DDL) in Oracle databases.
- Perform database and SQL performance tuning for large datasets.
- Utilize data modeling and data visualization tools (preferably Tableau or Power BI).
- Apply ETL practices, preferably using Informatica or Pentaho.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex DML and functional coding errors.
- Manage and manipulate very large datasets with expert-level SQL skills.
- Use code repositories (ideally Git) and continuous integration tools (preferably Jenkins).
- Apply knowledge of relational database design, database security, and query tools (TOAD, SQL Developer, SQL Navigator).
- Document system architecture using Unified Modeling Language (UML).
- Solve complex technical problems and anticipate software design issues.
- Collaborate with business leads, team members, and stakeholders to deliver quality solutions.
- Validate data, ensure quality assurance, and maintain referential integrity.
- Develop reports for federal agencies, particularly in Integrated Eligibility/Healthcare domains (SNAP/TANF/Medicaid).
- Use workflow management tools (such as JIRA, ServiceNow) and Agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, Kanban).
- Leverage web development skills (XML, CSS, JavaScript frameworks: JQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS, React).
- Preferred: Oracle certifications and 5+ years experience in healthcare or federal reporting environments.
