About the role

Department: Family Office
Location: Remote, US (Eastern Preferred)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $65,000 – $85,000 + Benefits + Bonus Potential
Company Overview
We are a small, fast-paced single-family office supporting a New York-based serial entrepreneur with diverse investments and businesses spanning finance, technology, and real estate. Our mission is to manage the financial affairs of the principal with precision, discretion, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. We operate as a lean, high-trust team where every member has direct impact on outcomes and access to senior leadership.
We are building a modern, AI-first financial operations team and are seeking a versatile, tech-forward Accounting Analyst who is equally comfortable closing the books and analyzing investment performance. This is a foundational role with significant growth potential for the right candidate.
Role Summary
As the Accounting Analyst, you will serve as a key member of the family office’s financial team, working directly with the CFO across two core areas: (1) day-to-day accounting and financial reporting across a multi-entity portfolio and (2) investment and financial analysis to support decision-making on a growing portfolio of investments and operating businesses. You will be expected to leverage AI tools, workflow automations, and modern technology to work at 2–10x the speed of a traditional analyst, identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve the quality and speed of financial outputs.
Ideal Candidate Profile (DISC: High C)
We are looking for an analytical, detail-obsessed professional who brings a methodical and structured approach to everything they do. The ideal candidate is:
  • Accuracy-Driven: You take pride in producing error-free work. You double-check your numbers, reconcile to the penny, and maintain meticulous records.
  • Analytical & Logical: You approach problems with data and facts first. You prefer well-defined processes, clear expectations, and structured environments where quality can be measured.
  • Systematically Curious: You don’t just complete tasks—you look for patterns, question inconsistencies, and proactively build better systems to prevent future errors.
  • Quietly Confident: You may be reserved, but you speak with authority when you’ve done the work. You communicate in clear, precise terms backed by evidence.
  • AI-Native: You already use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) in your daily workflow and see automation as a natural extension of how work gets done—not a novelty.
