What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Accurately enter new patient information into billing software following established guidelines
- Verify eligibility and benefits for assigned patients using online resources
- Research and correct discrepancies to ensure compliance with company policies
- Produce paper and electronic charts for all new patients
- Assist in correcting patient information as reported from EDI rejection reports
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- One year of certificate from a college or technical school, or 1-2 years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding protected health information

- Experience in a healthcare-related environment
- Familiarity with billing software and data entry processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
