What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Accurately enter new patient information into billing software following established guidelines
Verify eligibility and benefits for assigned patients using online resources
Research and correct discrepancies to ensure compliance with company policies
Produce paper and electronic charts for all new patients
Assist in correcting patient information as reported from EDI rejection reports
What Is Required (Qualifications)
One year of certificate from a college or technical school, or 1-2 years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding protected health information
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience in a healthcare-related environment
Familiarity with billing software and data entry processes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tasks
