Title: Circuit or Transport Technician 3
Duration: 8 months (possible extension by end of Q3/early Q4, depending on workload)
Start Date: 20th of this month or ASAP
Location: Remote
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM Eastern (flexible within 7 AM-4 PM or 8 AM-5 PM based on team needs; no weekends or overtime expected)

Key Responsibilities and Skills
• Assist NetX team in reviewing off-net third-party circuits with high monthly recurring costs, often in TDM, Voice, or SS7 spaces.
• Support soft disconnect processes with field ops (e.g., pulling jumpers to check live traffic).
• Perform DAX provisioning and analysis of existing DS1s, DS3s, DS0s to identify traffic, collapse, or reroute to on-net circuits.
• Investigate circuits, provide recommendations based on transport experience.
Top Skills (Must-Have):
• DAX provisioning.
• Familiarity with transport concepts and basic telephony.
• Experience in telecom industry (vetted via interview; no strict years required, but hands-on telecom background essential).
Nice-to-Have:
• TDM/SS7/voice circuit expertise.
Software/Certifications/Degrees: None specifically required; role is hands-on experience-based.
Soft Skills:
• Professional interaction with NetX team.
• Strong communication for investigations, findings, and next-step recommendations.
Interview Process
• Typically 1 round: 30-45 minute video interview.
• Possible follow-up if candidates are close.
• Vetting based on knowledge; telecom experience a plus.
