Associate Wealth Advisor Independent Registered Investment Advisor Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid) Our client is a growing, employee-owned, fee-only Registered Investment Advisor serving clients across the United States through a collaborative, team-based advisory model. The firm is focused on long-term relationships, fiduciary advice, and developing advisors internally through clearly defined career progression. They are seeking an Associate Wealth Advisor to support senior advisors and contribute to client service, financial planning, and investment management. This role is designed for an experienced financial services professional who wants to grow into a lead advisory position over time. This is not an entry-level role. The Role The Associate Wealth Advisor works closely with senior advisors and the broader advisory team to deliver a high-touch, comprehensive client experience. The position combines technical financial planning, investment support, and increasing client interaction as experience grows. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, service-driven, and interested in developing into a primary client-facing advisor within a fee-only RIA environment. Key Responsibilities
Support senior advisors in client meetings, preparation, and follow-up
Assist with onboarding new clients, including account paperwork and coordination
Build and update financial plans incorporating investment, tax, estate, and insurance considerations
Coordinate with clients’ CPAs, estate attorneys, and other professional advisors as needed
Prepare materials for client and prospect meetings and, as appropriate, present portions of meetings
Serve as a secondary relationship contact for assigned clients
Respond promptly to client inquiries and support a white-glove service experience
Participate in investment research and contribute to Investment Committee preparation
Assist with portfolio implementation and trading on assigned accounts
Help prepare quarterly client reporting and commentary
Develop an understanding of portfolio performance and investment positioning
Use industry-standard planning, portfolio management, and CRM systems
Grow into increased client-facing responsibility over time, with opportunity to serve as primary advisor on smaller relationships
Experience & Qualifications
Approximately 3–5+ years of experience in financial services
Prior exposure to investments, financial planning, portfolio management, or advisory support required
Not suitable for candidates straight out of school or without industry experience
Experience in fee-only RIA or holistic planning environments preferred
CSAs or operations professionals transitioning into advisory roles encouraged to apply
CFP®, CFA®, CPA, or CIMA preferred or in progress
Series 65/66 required or willingness to obtain shortly after hire (Series 7 not sponsored)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
Service-minded, collaborative, and eager to learn
Comfortable building relationships and engaging with clients and team members

Base salary
Base compensation increases with progress toward or completion of CFP®
