The technician position applies for individuals with mechanical aptitude. This position will ensure controls and procedures are in place to minimize lost production time, ensure compliance with federal and local regulations
Set up specific equipment prior to star of the shift to ensure on time start up
Work some holidays and weekends if necessary
Monitor equipment during the shift to reduce down time
Assist maintenance personnel on repairs and adjustments before, during and after the shift as required by management; assist on preventive maintenance (PMS) tasks performed during off shifts; including weekends and holidays
Work to promote a safe and secure work environment for all employees by following safety policies and procedures;
Other duties as requested from time to time by the Department supervisor
Requirements
Must have previous maintenance experience

Maintenance technician beyond high school or GED including either
Must be able to communicate well at all levels
Mechanical knowledge and understanding of pumps, rotating equipment, electrical, piping, heavy equipment, etc
Ability to deal with multiple priorities and paradoxes
Ability to work in a fast work environment/stress conditions
Practical electrical experience and knowledge of production equipment, process control, instrumentation and power distribution
Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance practices
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Ability to take additional task if required
