Job Summary The OEM Field Service Technician 1 is responsible for inspecting and fixing small visual imperfections in customer equipment to guarantee a perfect product. Responsibilities may also include troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and consulting. The role requires basic electrical wiring skills and the ability to read wire schematics. The technician will collaborate closely with peers, managers, and customers. Supervisory Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities Point-to-Point Checks
Perform point-to-point checks to ensure all connections are properly established and functioning.
Ensure all electrical connections meet quality and safety standards.
Read Schematics
Interpret and understand wiring schematics to accurately perform installations and repairs.
Utilize wiring schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
Wire Whiskers Inspection
Inspect wire whiskers for any defects or irregularities to guarantee a perfect product.
Address any defects found.
Terminate Wires
Properly terminate wires as per the specifications to ensure safe and reliable operation of equipment.
Excel Work
Utilize Excel to manage and track progress, data, and reports related to ongoing projects[1] .
Attributes/Abilities
Must have a satisfactory background/MVR check.
Must pass a pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and/or random drug test.
A positive attitude that inspires teamwork and productivity.
Technical proficiency in reading wire schematics and basic electrical wiring techniques.
Eagerness to learn and the ability to quickly acquire new skills and knowledge.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Effective communication skills with the ability to efficiently communicate with the General Forman and team members.
Dependable and consistent in fulfilling job responsibilities and completing complex tasks.
Experience And Education
High school diploma/GED, trade school or technical school certificate or diploma required.
1-3 years of electrical experience as a data center maintenance technician.
Experience with power distribution system equipment - low and medium (480V-48kV).
Physical Requirements
Ability to work safely around electrical and mechanical hazards.
Potential exposure to various conditions, including dirt, heat, fumes, smoke, water, noise, vibration, grease, oil, and dust.
Ability and willingness to work occasional overtime as needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
May require occasional travel.
