About the role
Our client is atechnology-driven company that specializes in simplifying and expediting small business insurance. Their mission is to make a small commercial insurance effortless through digital innovation and a partnership-based approach.
We are looking for an experienced Liability Claims Specialist. Must have experience with slip/falls, bodily injury, severe injuries, contractual capacity, risk transfer and be generally interested in working for a technology forward insurance company.
Responsibilities:
-Develop and implement strategy to resolve Commercial P&C, GL, Property Liability claims on very challenging and complex accounts
-Investigate, indentify, and assess coverage issues, draft coverage positions letters, and retain coverage counsel
-Analyze and direct initial risk transfer, subrogation/salvage action, additional insured issues, and contractual indemnity issues, to ensure equitable contributions
-Manage the litigation process including retaining counsel and directing counsel on resolution strategy
-Attend mediations and trials relevant to resolution
Qualifications:
-3-7 years of claims experience with BI/Bodily Injuries from a Liability perspective
-Excellent collaboration, communication, evaluation, negotiating, and interpersonal skills
-Proper adjuster licensing in applicable states
-Legal concept and process knowledge base
