A well-established multidisciplinary architecture and engineering practice is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its MEP team in Chicago, Illinois . This is a strong opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on a broad range of projects within a collaborative, design-focused environment with a heavy leaning towards Mission Critical projects.
In this role, you’ll lead electrical design across projects from early-stage concept through to completion, working closely with internal teams, consultants, and clients to deliver coordinated, practical solutions.

In this role, you’ll lead electrical design across projects from early-stage concept through to completion, working closely with internal teams, consultants, and clients to deliver coordinated, practical solutions.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design for building services projects across multiple sectors.
- Prepare power, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage system designs.
- Produce calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and external consultants.
- Support project meetings, client communication, and delivery.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical standards.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in MEP electrical design, ideally in consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of building electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Experience with relevant design and drafting software.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
