About the role

A well-regarded MEP consultancy founded by some of the industry's top specialists is expanding into Dallas — and they're looking for an experienced Electrical PE to lead their new office from day one. This is a rare chance to help build something from the ground up, backed by an established firm with a strong reputation and a healthy pipeline of mission-critical projects already in place.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the electrical design and delivery of mission-critical projects — data centers, hyperscale facilities, and complex critical infrastructure
  • Take ownership of the Dallas office: help recruit, mentor, and grow the local team as the office scales
  • Serve as the technical authority on electrical systems — power distribution, lighting, life safety, and building services for high-availability environments
  • Manage projects from concept through construction administration, ensuring quality and client expectations are exceeded
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, supporting business development efforts in the Dallas market
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical, structural, and civil teams on fully integrated MEP designs
  • Provide PE stamp and sign off on design documentation in accordance with Texas licensing requirements

REQUIREMENTS
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) — Texas licence or ability to obtain reciprocity required
  • 7+ years of experience in MEP consulting, with a strong preference for 10+ years
  • Solid background in mission-critical design — data centers, hyperscale, healthcare, or other complex, high-reliability facilities
  • Deep knowledge of electrical systems: medium and low voltage power distribution, emergency/standby power, UPS, switchgear, PDUs, and lighting
  • Familiarity with codes and standards relevant to mission-critical environments (NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 110, BICSI, Uptime Institute Tier standards)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and lead teams, with experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Strong client-facing skills and a track record of delivering complex projects on time and on budget
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering

BENEFITS
  • 100% healthcare coverage for you and your family
  • Bonuses, 401(k), regular salary reviews, and clear progression opportunities
  • Outstanding training and mentorship from some of the industry's leading specialists
  • Tailored career development plan built around your goals
  • A genuinely people-focused culture where engineers are valued and heard
  • A strong and growing pipeline of mission-critical projects across Dallas to lead and deliver
  • The rare opportunity to shape a new office from day one — your name on something built to last
