Senior Financial Analyst (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Hybrid – Local candidates only)
Pay Rate: $35/hr
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Eligibility: W2 / U.S. Citizen required
Position Summary
Responsible for performing advanced financial analysis using deep knowledge of finance principles and practices. This role manages budgeting, long-term financial planning, cost of service, pricing, and other finance-related functions.
The position involves solving complex financial problems, generating insights, and supporting strategic decision-making for leadership, including executives and board-level stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop financial deliverables:
  • Operating & capital budgets
  • Long-term financial plans
  • Cost of service studies
  • Pricing models
  • Treasury & cash operations
  • Perform:
  • Expense, revenue, and budget analysis
  • Forecasting and financial projections
  • Variance analysis and reporting
  • Build and maintain:
  • Spreadsheet models
  • Databases and data mining tools
  • Conduct:
  • Feasibility studies and cost-benefit analysis
  • Benchmarking and process improvement initiatives
  • Ensure:
  • Compliance with internal controls
  • Adherence to policies, laws, and regulations (FERC, NARUC)
  • Analyze business processes and recommend improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Prepare reports and presentations for:
  • Senior Leadership Team
  • Board of Directors
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) and mentor junior staff

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in:

  • CPA, MBA, or Master’s degree
  • Experience:
  • 8+ years in financial analysis, budgeting, or economics
  • Utility industry or government finance experience preferred
