What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Supervise, mentor, and train Construction Project Managers in their duties
Manage the entire construction process from initial site assessment to project closeout
Develop, review, and approve budgets and scopes of work for construction projects
Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Conduct site surveys, negotiate with landlords, and ensure compliance with construction documents
What Is Required (Qualifications)
BS in Construction Management or equivalent work history
Minimum 10 years of relevant, hands-on experience in retail tenant construction
Minimum 3 years of managerial experience overseeing salaried direct reports
Ability to read, comprehend, and troubleshoot construction drawings
Strong communication, time management, and negotiation skills
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Working knowledge of project management software, particularly Sitefolio
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple construction projects simultaneously
Experience in negotiating construction contracts and managing vendor relationships
Familiarity with construction best practices and prototype management
High attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency in project execution
