What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Supervise, mentor, and train Construction Project Managers in their duties
- Manage the entire construction process from initial site assessment to project closeout
- Develop, review, and approve budgets and scopes of work for construction projects
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Conduct site surveys, negotiate with landlords, and ensure compliance with construction documents
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- BS in Construction Management or equivalent work history
- Minimum 10 years of relevant, hands-on experience in retail tenant construction
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience overseeing salaried direct reports
- Ability to read, comprehend, and troubleshoot construction drawings
- Strong communication, time management, and negotiation skills
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Working knowledge of project management software, particularly Sitefolio
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple construction projects simultaneously
- Experience in negotiating construction contracts and managing vendor relationships
- Familiarity with construction best practices and prototype management
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency in project execution
