What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Manage the project commissioning team, providing guidance, training, and support for efficient task execution
- Communicate with OEM suppliers regarding equipment-specific testing and commissioning activities
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, and quality assurance teams to ensure alignment in commissioning activities
- Prepare detailed daily commissioning reports, reviewing test results and issues encountered
- Ensure all commissioning activities comply with industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in testing and commissioning on utility-scale electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, inverters, transformers, and electrical infrastructure
- Proven experience managing project teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Knowledge of microprocessor protective relay testing
- Familiarity with DCS/SCADA control systems and methods for utility-scale generation
- Understanding of NERC compliance standards along with ISO and TSO testing and operational requirements
