We are currently seeking an Associate RF Engineer to support our continued growth and success. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level or early-career engineer looking to gain hands-on experience in RF engineering, wireless systems, zoning support, testing, and network analysis within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with zoning and testimony preparation by creating maps, summary sheets, and zoning exhibits using client-provided information
- Support investigation and analysis of wireless search areas
- Perform testing of new and existing cell sites using RF test equipment
- Utilize drive testing equipment to collect signal level data while adhering to company vehicle procedures
- Analyze baseline and CW data to identify wireless coverage gaps and determine future coverage potential
- Conduct design visits, tower site visits, and rooftop inspections
- Design antenna configurations and site equipment requirements
- Perform intermodulation studies and analyze results
- Conduct computer propagation simulations using RF software
- Prepare and issue FCC and FAA filings
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional engineering initiatives
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or related field with strong RF theory background
- 0–3 years of professional engineering experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Excellent verbal, written, and public speaking communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Comfortable interacting with clients, vendors, and municipal representatives
Preferred
- Experience with RF and wireless technologies
- Familiarity with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, power meters, sweep testers, and drive test software
- Experience troubleshooting RF and electronic systems
- Knowledge of software including:
- MapInfo
- Terrain Navigator
- MS Visio
- MS Access
- MS Project
- ComSite Design
- ComSite Pro
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
