Position Objective Focus on driving a social-first strategy, creatively getting animal messaging into the culture, and taking responsibility for the production of consistent storytelling through content generation across platforms Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Contribute to strategy and content creation across current and emerging social platforms, analyzing content for success and applying a sophisticated understanding of PETA’s mission, priorities, and goals to reach and expand influence to various platform audiences
Design and produce emotionally evocative, story-based content, including persuasive, accurate, and engaging copy and well-designed imagery, understand and promote design and copy cohesion, leveraging style, function, and motion
Stay current and ahead of industry trends, and perform research to refine content strategies
Write thoughtful, persuasive, creative copy from the smallest CTA to the most inspiring headline
Liaise and successfully fulfill the social media marketing needs of cross-departmental teams, senior leadership, and other stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely, and innovative content
Assist management with departmental operations
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience in marketing, social media, graphic design, copywriting, communications, or direct content creation
Knowledge of social media platforms including, but not limited to Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Facebook, and X
Excellent writing and verbal communication abilities
Previous leadership experience
Proven exceptional analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud and social media tools
Must possess a strong sense of taste and an understanding of how to craft compelling and effective content that resonates with target audiences
Must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Knowledge of animal liberation issues
Support for PETA's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate for PETA's positions on issues
Adherence to a vegan lifestyle
Commitment to the objectives of the organization
The hourly pay range for this position is $21.44 - $26.83. The ultimate hourly pay within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
