Job description
Contract Grant Writer: We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and passionate team member to join our growing team. The grant writer will assist with foundation funding opportunities, grant writing and reporting.
Key Responsibilities Include:·      Assist with the execution of the assigned client’s grant strategy
·      Identify grant funding opportunities from prospect research
·      Write and submit grant proposals/LOIs and according to the client agreement
·      Maintain a master calendar of grants and prospects and all associated files and correspondence.
·      Furnish prospective funders with supporting documents when needed
·      Attend collaborative client meetings with the client bi-weekly at a minimum
·      Maintaining library of grant support documents
·      Submit monthly client reports
Education & Experience:
  • 4-year college degree minimum
  • At least 5 years of nonprofit experience
  • At least 6 years of successful grant writing experience
  • At least 5 years of Federal/State grant writing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in grant research.

Knowledge & Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented nature.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM software systems; and
  • Familiarity and experience working with national, governmental funders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Expected hours: 10 per week depending on the project
