- Hold a New Jersey English as a Second Language Certification
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of teaching English as a second language
- Knowledge of the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework
- Knowledge of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, and classroom management.
- Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing. Use proper grammar and vocabulary with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community.
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
- Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, digital technology to augment authentic learning, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.
- Must be computer literate
- Highly motivated result-driven educator
