Hold a New Jersey English as a Second Language Certification
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of teaching English as a second language
Knowledge of the WIDA English Language Development Standards Framework
Knowledge of child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, and classroom management.
Knowledge of assessment and data analysis for instructional purposes
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, orally and in writing. Use proper grammar and vocabulary with students, staff, parents, administrators, and the community.
Exhibit a personality that demonstrates enthusiasm and interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents, and the community.
Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, digital technology to augment authentic learning, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.
Must be computer literate
Highly motivated result-driven educator
