About the role
A globally leading consumer device company is looking for Battery Software QA Engineer . In this role, you will help develop and execute tests for battery powered products, gather battery test metrics by monitoring automated setups and doing initial triage/analysis.
Job Responsibilities:
• Support the day-to-day operation of our automated testing labs
• Assist the team with all the testing which includes manual and automation
• Report, diagnose and debug test failures
• Improve current processes and maintain documentation
• Drive the creation of automation and analysis tools as the need arises
• Analyze data and present to cross functional partner teams as the need arises
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience.
• Bachelors, MS or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in QA/testing, Skills in writing and executing high quality test cases
• Experience writing scripts (Python preferred)
• Strong working knowledge of UNIX-like operating systems
• Ability to think creatively, problem solve, and innovate
• A desire to learn battery technologies
Type: Contract
Duration: 9 months with extension
Work Location: Cupertino, CA (onsite)
Pay range: $ 44.00 - $ 59.00 (DOE)
